Day #9 Toy Organization

I WISH I had thought to snap some pics of our "toy room" before the transformation...  Nevertheless, another space organized.. Did I mention we have TOO many TOYS!!

All that's left to do is LABEL!

My oldest daughter was given our friends' 10-YEAR Collection 

of Barbies! The mansion, the cars.....

The Barbies with clothes and accesories, Ken dolls with clothes and accessories, (that small yellow tub in the middle is JUST SHOES), the furniture, the full stocked kitchen, the babies  

..a CRAZY BIG Collection (WITH the organizer!!) that we were blessed to receive!

For the one person that's following this (besides me)... Hello.  I said I would return and I'm keeping my promise!  Our family has ALOT going on behind the scenes of this 21- (turned 31) Day Challenge, but I believe, in some little way, this challenge will make all the other stuff a little easier. So where were we...
Oh yes... Day #8 The Coat Closet.

BEFORE

I've avoided this closet... It's what happens when you shove 

and shove and shove stuff...You wouldn't believe what all I found...

NOW!

Since we live in the southern most region of the USA we just don't have "winter". So, soon, these coats will be smashed into a spacesaver bag... and I'll figure out some other creative use for this space (maybe all our rain gear, beach gear, pool gear, sunglasses, flip flops...you know.) One thing for sure, it's an organized space.

Flu......

Kids with ear infections and cough...Husband with full blown flu.. Mama trying to stay healthy...
Have to take a week off from Challenges and care for my family... But I WILL RETURN!!

Day #7 The Pantry

Thank Goodness I had two days to complete this one... Super Busy Weekend!  The pictures aren't good and I don't have all the storage containers yet, but this space is sooo much better...

Day #6 Dresser Drawers

I really like my antique dresser.  It needs some TLC, but that will come.  As for tonight, the drawers got a little more organized and ALOT lighter!

Left top is a catch-all (jewelry, greeting cards, sugar free chocolate...you know, top drawer essentials!)

I lined the drawers about 9 years ago... but forgot since I never see the bottom of the drawer!

And this is the best part!!!!!

2 BIG bags of clothes to donate!

Day #5 Under the Kitchen Stink..I mean..Sink.

Toni, when you said "Under the Kitchen Sink", I threw up a little in my mouth.  Girl.  I cringed every time I opened that cabinet door.  Dark, Dirty, Scary...that's how I would describe the space under my kitchen sink.... until tonight.  I was reminded of the whimsical plaque I gave my mom for Christmas last year....

and so, I did.  Well, actually, my Big Girl Gloves!

Cleared it out, SCRUBBED, remembered that roll of shelf liner I found in the linen closet yesterday.. and DRUM ROLL....

NOW!

AHHHH!

No more dark, dirty, scary - ness.

I feel like I can conquer just about anything right now! 

Day #4 Linen Closet

Tackled this project yesterday and couldn't post last night for some reason.. But the hubs said "Hey babe, at least you completed the challenge!"  True.. And did I ever...

Before..this closet was a "catch all".

Bedding, Table Linens, Kitchen Towels, rolls of Shelf Liner, Girls' hair accessories, Kid's toiletries, some photo albums and a few wood carved Safari Animals my husband brought back from Africa... (seriously)

The hallway "mid-challenge"... and halfway thru the kids' afternoon nap.  I was bookin' it!

Now!  Transformation.

Day #3 Kitchen Cabinets (plastic storage & more)

This challenge was something that my kitchen has been needing... so let's just get to it... this is where I started... where i usually toss my plastic storage containers, etc...

(Pampered Chef lovers may notice alot of PC product in my pics... I'm a sales consultant, so naturally my kitchen is slammed full of it..)

And so, that cabinet led to another....

Threw out old spices, which cleared a whole shelf...and repurposed the cabinet to include items I use daily, directly above my main counter space. (ahhh)

Oh, and this stuff is headed to the garage sale in 2 weeks!

Still more to do in the kitchen..but that was a great start!

Day #2 - Nasty Mr. Computer Desk

First, I have to say that this Challenge is soo motivating for me!  Normally, after I put the kiddos to bed I find myself on the couch, watching TV, feeling guilty about all the things I SHOULD be doing.... Now, I can't wait to have some quiet in the evening so I can accomplish the daily mission!  AND I'm not even embarassed to show you my DIRT... everybody's got it, I say.

Sidenote... I don't have the first clue about blog design... There's nothing "Glamorous" about the pics you're about to see... I liked the background of this one.. work in progress..
